Instantly Add Your Do Follow Blog!

Do you use a do follow blogs list?
Every now and then, I use "do follow blogs" for backlinks. There are a few reasons why I don't use them all the time. After reading this, you'll understand why. Not too long ago, I wrote a post about a do follow blog list I found. After attempting to use it a few times, I became frustrated. Do Follow Blogs are great because you can get backlinks, but there are a few problems with the lists that are currently on the net.

Finding the Right Category for Your Do Follow Blog
Blogs should be close to your blog's topic. That's where I became frustrated. I had to click on all the links, which was time consuming. Why? Many times you can't figure out the subject of a blog, just by reading it's title. Now, imagine you're trying to sort through three or four different do follow blog lists?! Perhaps, you have an unusual name for your blog. Many people want to get these important seo details taken care of as soon as possible. Eliminate the guess work. Let other bloggers find your blog in the right category quickly and easily.

Being Added to the Do Follow Blog List
Let's face it. Bloggers are busy people. They usually have a day job, a family, hobbies and a blog..or two. If they want to be successful, they also need to answer email, blog comments and spend time on social networks. So, they don't always add the do follow blogs in a timely manner. So, you keep waiting and waiting and checking....to see if your blog is added.

Adding the Do Follow Blogs List to Your Site
You want to tell your readers about it, but the list is long and has many different topics. You also have to go through the trouble of adding it manually to your site (and your site still isn't on it). What if you could just grab the blogs that are relevant to your niche?

After becoming completely frustrated, I created the Do Follow Blogs List you see below. It eliminated all the problems bloggers faced, everything I described above.

Visit the Do Follow Blogs List on Squidoo to:
1. Choose the appropriate category for your blog.
2. Instantly add your "do follow" blog to the list.
3. Comment on other blogs within your same niche.
4. Copy and paste the code for the niche you want, straight on your blog.
5. Add the Squidoo lens to your favorite social media for more exposure.

What are the benefits of adding your do follow blog to the list?
1. More traffic
2. New readers
3. The potential of going viral

Hope you take advantage of my latest creation. Be sure to add your blog and share it with your readers. :)

What is a Meme? A Viral, Link Building Traffic Generator

Creating content that is viral is a great way to increase your exposure on the net. One excellent tool used by bloggers for viral linking is the Meme. It was used heavily when I first entered the blogosphere in 2005. Some Memes have been successful in increasing Technorati authority, such as the one spread by DoshDosh. Haven't had the opportunity to participate in any Memes? Don't know why you should participate in a Meme? Continue reading to learn about some of the benefits.

Memes are a great way for bloggers to accomplish several things.
1. It's a great way to find new interesting blogs.
2. It's a simple way to increase your backlinks.
3. Memes can increase your traffic.
4. They can help in your branding efforts.
5. One may even make some money from the added traffic.

Stephanie from Stop the Ride (a debt reduction blogger and creator of the Make it From Scratch blog carnival) has tagged me. I haven't participated in one of these in a very long time. I thought it would be a great way to involve the readers of this blog. I welcome everyone to participate, even if I don't tag you. I can only tag 5 people, so I encourage everyone to copy and paste the Meme and participate even if you weren't tagged.

I have randomly selected 5 of you below to be tagged and I hope that you will similarly publish this post in your blog. You will have to tag 5 other bloggers and just keep adding on to the list. (Do not replace, just keep on adding! Yes we hope it will be a long list!)

The benefits of Viral Linking:

Getting Out of Debt: Join the Technorati Train

Technorati is a great way to increase your traffic, exposure and income (advertising revenue). The first time the Technorati train went around, I decided to not participate. I figured I'd wait for it to die down,so that I could revive it! I know, I'm terrible. :)

For some strange reason, technorati doesn't update my pings for this blog. For this reason, I've decided to use one of my other blogs. It's a new freebie site I just started. Here's my new addition: FREEfabStuff!

Anyway, I decided to use the Technorati train I found on a blog called:
ReformatThis
The blog is named after his Web Programming Company that specializes in custom web applications. I like his play on words. His last name is Matthis and it can be found in the URL of his blog's name Reformatthis! Pretty clever huh! His blog has a lot of great information and I wanted to share it with all of you. He creates great php hero cards. (You have to visit the entry to understand!) You have to see them. He hasn't been updating lately because he's had a new addition to the family-his first son. Congratulations! After this little train, I hope he has renewed energy to give us some more entries...

For easy installation of the list:
1. Click on the permanent link to this entry.
2. Next, click on view on your toolbar.
3. Click on source and you should be able to copy and paste all the names with the links. Quick and easy! Be sure to start copying at the asterisks. No one wants duplicate content!

If you are included in this train or are adding your URL to the comments, be sure to take full advantage of every traffic opportunity! Stumble this post, tag it on delicious and digg it!!!!!!!!!

Here are the rules:

1) Write a short introduction paragraph about what or how you found the list and include a link to the blog that referred you to the list.

2) COPY the Rules and ENTIRE List below and post it to your blog. To avoid duplicate content and increase the amount of keywords your site can accessible for, go ahead and change the titles of the blog. Just don’t change the links of the blog.

3) Take “My New Faves” and move them into the “The Original Faves” list.

4) Add 3 Blogs that you’ve just added to your Technorati Favorites to the “My New Faves” section. Remember to also add the “Fave Me” link next to your new blogs (i.e. http://technorati.com/faves?sub=addfavbtn&add=http://www.yourfavesdomain.com)

5) Add Everyone on this list to your Technorati Favorites List by clicking on “Fave the Site.” Those who want good kharma will fave you back. If not, you will for sure get the benefits of faves from the bloggers who continue this list after you.

10 New Year's Resolutions, 8 Completed!

This is the first entry I post this year! It was originally written on January 9. (You'll understand why it wasn't published until 1/17 at the end of this entry). I hope all of you enjoyed your holidays and are sticking to your New Year's Resolutions. The past year has been full of mishaps and unexpected expenses for me and the kids. Due to my incredibly full schedule, I'm always faced with prioritizing from a moment to moment basis. This is the reason for some of the actions I've taken including going "MIA" at times. For this reason, instead of creating a list of things I want to accomplish, I closed my eyes and did them.

These are my 10 New Year's Resolutions. I've accomplished 8 as of January 17, 2008.

1. I purchased another domain today (FREEfabSTUFF). Why? I need to create sites that will create income whether or not I'm blogging.
2. I finally downloaded the StumbleUpon toolbar. (Want to get stumbled? Add your best post to the comments and stumble this entry. I'll stumble every URL and will encourage others to the same!)
3. The sharebuilder account that I've been wanting to start, has finally been created today. I'll be giving regular updates on that. I chose to have regular investments made from my checking account.
4. Ebay has intimidated me long enough! Ebay acct. must be opened before 2/1.
5. I decided to continue particpating in sponsored blogging. Why should I let Google dictate how I make money? I'm not one of the bloggers that writes without researching a company or topic. The loss of income has been detrimental to my household. Adsense earnings cover my minivan payment every other month, but it's not the amount of money I earned from paid blogging. Did anyone see the wedding one of the Google founders had? The rented out TWO islands for the event! I don't think that paid blogging is bad across the board. Why not penalize the bloggers that don't make the effort? It's not hurting them that badly. Again, anyone see the media coverage of that luxurious wedding????
6. I took advantage of my email lists today. I sent an email to 2748 readers. Not bad, huh? I still have another 1000 to go. I don't know why I let things like that slide? It's great to have a large email list, even if it only increases your traffic. I will be using it on a weekly basis.
7. I decided to take JohnChow.com's advice. I opened a StumbleUpon advertiser account and I funded it. Will update!
8. I enrolled in budget billing (my electric bill). This will help in the way I plan my bills. No surprises when I open my electric/gas bill!
9. This month, I'm going to pay off my car insurance. That will free up an extra $293.00 a month for several months. This extra money will be put in the emergency fund.
10. I have decided to start a train for technorati favorties, delicious tags and stumbleupon exchanges! I finished the first one. Be sure to participate and increase your traffic.

What is the biggest problem I face with completing my goals?
I'm a perfectionist. This is why I procrastinate...a lot. The hardest thing for me is finishing something because I have the most difficult time sharing the end results. I'm very critical of my work. I have to constantly remind myself that "No one is perfect".

Now you know why I haven't updated this blog in two weeks. This post was written on January 9 and I'm publishing it on January 17!
Why?
I wanted it to be perfect. That's never going to happen, is it? So, I decided to just publish it.

What are my goals for this year?
1. I want to be succeed and teach others to do the same. No one has to be perfect, right?
1. I want to increase traffic to my sites.
2. I want to earn enough money from my sites to never have to depend on his child support. Before this year ends, I want to have the child support direct deposited into the kid's accounts.

Are my goals within my grasp?
Definitely.
I'll keep you updated on all the details!

10 Free Sites That Can Increase Your Traffic

There are many ways to increase free traffic to your site. Some of them involve traffic exchanges, but not everyone has the time to devote to them. What if I told you there are 10 ways that you can increase your traffic without spending any money and it's automatic once you set it up? Are you interested?

10 Sites That Will Help You Get FREE Traffic
1.
Earn income from multiple sources

This is an excellent way to get a lot of traffic to your site and earn money without actively "working". I became a pro-life member (at a discounted price) immediately.
Why?
1. Their setup is a great way to get lots of traffic in a short amount of time. The ratio for a pro life member is 25:1. Everytime any member displays their URL, your ad may be displayed in boxes 2-6. On your URL, it will be the first on the left hand corner.
2. Your clickbank ID is added to the URL at the bottom of the page (clickbank mall). Your page is being advertised even when you're not actively doing it. If someone makes a purchase, you earn a commission.
3. You also earn money from your referrals advertsing purchases.
4. They have a manual traffic exchange.
5. You can email your downline or random members.
6. They have banner advertising as well as text advertising.

This site really covers all the bases!

2.

Click here to get Free Targeted Website Traffic

You can use Instant Buzz to increase your traffic 3 different ways:
1. You can brand your emails with their service.
2. You can place a code on your blog/website.
3. You can download the free toolbar.

This is one of the biggest traffic generators. Be sure to download the toolbar and start earning traffic today! The more people you refer, the more traffic you get. (Your text link ad will appear on other user's toolbars as they surf the net and vice versa).

**If you become a paid member, you earn money through Clickbank!**

I became a paid member of this one. What happened? Someone made some purchases. The next time I checked my Clickbank account I had $90.61 in my account!

3.

Click Here for your Free Traffic!

This is a great way to have your site seen by many eyes! Every time someone registers, they have to view your site. Every time any of your referral's sign ups register, they also have to view your site. This happens 6 levels down! Visit the site to see the stats.

4.

When you put a link box like this on your site, it will display others links. That gives you credits and your link is then displayed as well. You can customize the link box to match your blog or site. They have a tutorial on the site.

5.

When you put this code on your site, it will display a small window on your reader's entrance to your site. Every time your site is visited, your ad is displayed on someone else's site.

6.

Text links are displayed on your site and your ads on displayed on other member's sites.

7.

This is a great way to gain readers, but remember not to have Google Adsense on your blog. Google will cancel your account if they suspect traffic exchange use. You can use the rent my blog feature for more traffic or have your text link ads displayed on other's sites. You don't have to surf because you get free credits for each new referral. Just put a badge or link on your site!

8.

Simple. Just post your ad.

9.

Register. Download the free software. Get traffic. How? When your computer is idle, an ad will be displayed. After you see 5 ads, someone else will see your ad. Your ad will also be displayed when your referrals' ads are displayed. This creates lots of traffic!

10.

Add the blogrush code to your blog (after acceptance to the program) and you will receive traffic. You receive a portion of the traffic of each of your referrals. The more people you refer, the more traffic you get!

I hope you find this information helpful. May it bring you lots of traffic and revenue!

How to Get Your Blog Indexed By Google (and other major search engines) in 5 Steps!

Many of you know that I have a Squidoo lens that is listed on the first page of Google for the term "MAKE MONEY ONLINE". That lens has many different ways I use to earn a full time income from home. Since it is a popular search term, I usually get lots of hits from Google. I also get lots of email from people asking me to mentor them, help them with earning money and guide them through creating a blog. The question I'm asked most often is "How can I get my blog indexed by Google?"

Several months ago, I created 4WAHMs: Make Money on the Internet. This site lists all the different ways you can make money online, lists resources to help you earn more and has free advertising for those that would like to get some exposure. I had the blog indexed by Google in less than 48 hours. Here are the steps that I took to accomplsh that.

1. Submit your blog to search engines. You can submit your blog to search engines individually or do what I do. I submit my blogs toSubmitExpress and SubmitPlus. Submitting your blog will be a little time consuming. Many of the smaller search engines will ask you to register your blog on their particular site. This means you may end up doing it several times. They will send you a confirmation link to your inbox to verify that you are the owner of the blog. Take the time to do this. It will help you in the long run. I'm listed on the top position for msn's search engine for the term getting out of debt.

2. Claim your blog.
The most important place to claim ownership of your blog is Technorati. Later on you can claim your blog at MyBlogLog, BlogCatalog, SpicyPage and FuelMyBlog. These sites will help you with traffic. They are indexed regularly because of the enormous amount of fresh content and that will help your blog.

3. Register at Forums and add your blog to your signature.
The first forum you should join is Blogger Forum. You can also ask for links on the link exchange thread. At a later date, you can join other forums that are relevant to your blog's content. Most forums have active members that are constantly adding fresh content to the threads. This means they are indexed regularly and that will show up as a link for you. Be sure to add informative content to the forums. Spam is frowned upon and if you are guilty of it....you will be deleted.

4. Link Love
This one may be a little tough for new bloggers. I linked 4WAHMs to several of my blogs that range from a 4 to 3 page rank. I know what you're thinking.

What if I don't have a blog to link to with a decent page rank?
If you want a link from this blog (PR4), you can write a review of it and get a link back.
Here are the rules:
1. Write a review about this site and use Getting Out of Debt as the anchor text (hyperlink). The URL is http://getting-out-of-debt.blogspot.com/
2. Leave a comment here with your blogger name and the URL of the review.

You can get even more links by writing reviews of the following sites:
1. Make Money Online (PR4)
http://www.squidoo.com/supermom_in_ny/
2. Snow White, 7 Dwarves and PDD (PR3)
http://supermom2005.blogspot.com/
3. Gift Giving Made Easy (PR3)
http://supermomshops.blogspot.com/
4. Blogging 411 (PR3)
http://blogging411.blogspot.com/
5. Sending Smiles Across the Miles (PR3)
http://supermom-in-ny.blogspot.com/
6. SuperMom 2005 (PR3)
http://supermom2005.mindsay.com/

Here are a few more bloggers that are offering links for reviews:
1. www.JohnChow.com (PR6)
2. www.CareerRamblings.com (PR6)
3. www.TylerCruz.com (PR5)
4. Make Money With a 13 yr old (PR4)
5. TheBlogHog (PR3)
6. An Army Wife's Life (RR5)

How can writing these reviews and getting these links from high PR sites help you?
Page Rank is very important, especially when you want to make money online writing reviews. The more links you have from sites with decent page rank, the more money you can make. ReviewMe charges $400.00 for a review on John Chow's Blog. He gets $200.00 for a 200 word review, the company gets the other $200.00. Think about it. Wouldn't you like to earn $200.00 per review?

5. Submit posts to BlogCarnivals.
Blog Carnivals are hosted on different blogs and are about various topics. They accomplish two things: traffic and link love. Find a carnival that is relevant to your blog's niche and submit, submit, submit. Be sure to link back to the carnival when they are posted. If you really want to gain lots of links quickly, host a carnival. Everyone that participates in a carnival is given the instruction to link back to the carnival. That means you may be getting lots and lots of links in a matter of a day!

I hope you enjoyed this post. Favorite this site on Technorati, bookmark on delicious and subscribe to the blog! It will be greatly appreciated! Be sure to leave a comment!

Paid to Read Sites: Free Traffic and Advertising!

When I started surfing the net and researching income opportunities, I quickly learned that paid to read sites were frowned upon. Just as quickly as I learned that lesson, I realized why. "Paid to Read" sites are an easy way to earn some cash or change, depending on the site. While some sites pay you two to five cents to view an ad, others pay 1/10 of a penny. At 1/10 of a penny, you're looking at a lot of clicking. That's why some people overlook ptrs as a great way to earn some money (at the better paying sites) or gain exposure (through free advertising).

I am a part of a few paid to read sites that I enjoy. Hits4Pay is one that sends 1-3 emails per day. I have about 126 referrals. I earn a penny for every email they open. What does this translate into? A monthly check between $35.00 and $37.00. It's easy money.

Recently I realized that many paid to read sites offer incentives to increase their memberships. What is the incentive? An upgraded membership. So what, you're thinking? Most upgraded memberships include free banner impressions, free referrals, free emails to existing members and other forms of advertisements. Still don't understand what the big deal is? It's free advertising.

What can you do with this free advertising?
Let's say that you belong to a traffic exchange. You can join the ptr, get your free upgrade and use your free banner impressions to advertise the traffic exchange. This is an easy way to gain referrals.

What if I'm not involved with any income generating programs?
It's also a great way to gain traffic for your blog. You can create a banner and add your blog URL to the paid text link.

I'm involved with many traffic exchanges, income opportunties and internet marketing programs. This is a free and easy way to generate traffic and referrals. People that use these ptrs are looking for easy ways to earn money. They are a captive audience!

Here are a few of the sites I've joined this week that are offering free upgraded memberships. Be sure to see what method they require to obtain your free upgraded membership. Some of the sites require you to send an email to the webmaster.

Join the site ASAP. As soon as they reach their targeted membership increase, they will discontinue the upgraded memberhsip.

Get Free Traffic With writeabout.us

I found WriteAbout a traffic generator last night. I was literally falling asleep at the desk, so I decided to leave it for today. After visiting the site, I decided it was worth sharing with all of you.

WriteAbout.us has two ways of generating traffic. You can either pay for a link to your site or get a free link by writing about their site. Once you write your entry, you submit it to their site and you get your free link. Both free and paid links are displayed on the front page of the site. As more people pay for links or write about the site, your link moves down until it eventually comes off the page. If you pay for a link and later decide to place another bid, 20% of the bid is added to your paid amount. This gives you a higher placement. If you're fortunate enough to catch the eye of an editor, your site will be added to the permanent directory of the site!

It sounds like a great idea. I will be submitting this post for a free link. I'll keep you updated on the traffic I receive.

One Million Links?

Here's a site that may help you get some new traffic! The site 1,000,000 links is attempting to get one million links. Yup, and I think they will be able to achieve it.

Here's why:
1,000,000 links has the HTML for you to copy and paste on your site. As soon as you copy, paste and publish the link, it automatically appears on their site. That means that anyone at the site will see your link and may be interested in seeing what your blog or site is all about.

You also get traffic another way. Everytime someone clicks on the link on your blog, your link shows up on their site. That can translate into MORE TRAFFIC. 1,000,000 created a great way to get links while giving the "linkers" some benefits!

Now go get some link love!
