HubPages Income Update

It's been some time since I posted about my HubPages income.  That's probably because my adsense income was so exciting that I didn't pay much attention to anything else.  Now, I did earn some Adsense from my hubs.  However, it wasn't much.  I earned more from my Amazon sales through my hubs.  I haven't earned as much as I have using Squidoo, but every bit counts.  I'm not complaining.

There was a change on HubPages last year, which effected my earnings and turned me off for awhile.  Thanks to the Google Panda update, HubPages lost a lot of traffic.  So, they decided to have all the members change their urls to a username of their choice.  The point of this was to not clump all the content together.  They believed it would help weed out the bad content that was bringing the site down.  Did it work?  I don't know.  What I did notice was that all the link building I had done seem to disappear... and my traffic with it.  I was so tired of the same type of thing happening over and over again, thanks to Google's updates that I decided to not be bothered.  So for months my hubs just sat there getting a trickle of traffic.  

What got me back on track?  I read that they added a HubPages program and ebay was now available as an income source, but you got a larger commission.  Well, I earn great commissions on ebay through Squidoo.  I decided to join both programs and give it a try.  Unfortunately, I still hadn't built some links so the traffic was pretty much stagnant.  

Last month, I started reading some great hubs with excellent Hub advice.  I learned some great things and started implementing them.  So far, my traffic has increased and I should reach my first payout next month.  I haven't had any ebay sales , but I have earned money through clicks.  Why I am expecting ebay sales, I don't know.  I haven't added ebay modules on some of my hubs or optimized them either.  I guess I just thought I would earn some from my original work.

The past two days have been spent building links to my hubs and lenses, as well as blogging.  I plan to get enough traffic to get monthly payouts.  It's not that hard.  You just need to direct targeted traffic to your money sites.  Don't know how?  Check out the tutorials below.

How to Make Money Online With Hubpages

HubPages.com is a free site where members can create content on subjects that interest them. (HubPages are free and you can use them to make money online!) They are similar to Squidoo however they are set up to resemble an article instead of a lens. I joined HubPages in the summer of 2006 and never finished my "hub". This week, I decided to finish it and I learned many interesting things. I had to share it with everyone!

HubPages are great for many reasons. First of all, Hubpages.com have a very active community. Your content will get views from the community, even before it's picked up by search engines. The HubPages site has a Google page rank of 6. My advice to you: open a hubpage account, fill out your profile and add your website! Web 2.0 sites are great ways to build your backlinks!

The second reason I love HubPages is because they can be monetized with Google Adsense, Amazon and Kontera. Your ads are shown 60% of the time and the other 40% shows their ads. (They have to make money some way...)

Can one make money with Hubpages?
Of course! Court from The Keyword Academy decided to run an experiment to see if one could make money with HubPages. He decided to create 100 HubPages in 30 days. What were his results? "The total amount made during the 30 day experiment was $475.26."

Are HubPages easy to create?
Yes, they are. They are even easier to monetize. They have drog and drop technology. Can't get easier than that? You can create hubpages about pretty much any topic. They forbid the usual topics: drugs, adult sites, gambling, hate sites, etc.

The third reason I love Hubpages is because of the link juice they pass on to your links. You must have a hubber score of at least 74 to have no follow tags enabled on your hubs. However, it's not difficult to get a 74. I got more than a 74 as soon as I published my hub.

What is the best way to use HubPages?
Write hubs about your blog or site using keywords you want to target. It's a link from a site with a page rank of 6! Be sure to add your adsense ID as well as the other affiliate networks they have available for you to use. Get to writing and publish those hubs!

One more tip:
Before I published my first hub, I read several hubs and left comments. I also visited the forums and participated. Apparently, particpation in the Hubber community contributes to your hubber score. Remember, when your hubber score is 74 or higher it means your links are do follow.

Associated Content: A Writing Site That Pays

Here is a writing site by the name of Associated Content that pays. How do I know? Well, I just got the confirmation email this morning. It took a week for them to approve it. They read the content and made me an offer. I came across this site on bloggerparty (another place that I blog at). A young girl stated that she was making money by writing articles and submitting them here. Now her statement is confirmed. Associated Content really pays.

The article that I wrote was from the list of topics that they are requesting. I wrote about my neighborhood. Pretty easy topic, don't you think? They are looking for people that will write about the places to dine in your city, great places to visit and the best places to host children's parties. Let's see? That's a no brainer for me. Being the mom of 7, I have used most of the places for children's parties myself. Who else can say that? They have been invited to countless parties and I have paid to give them these parties as well. (I would rather pay to have a party at one of these places then deal with the aftermath of a kid's party and 7 kids). That was the content of my article. Ten places that you might want to have your child's next birthday party...

Here's the breakdown:
Time spent: 30 minutes
Actions: Wrote a lengthy article on the topic of my choice.
Total Amount: $6.00

This site sends you an offer and you choose whether you want to take it or you want to pass. I like that feature because if you think it is worth more, you have the choice of taking it somewhere else. They pay between $5.00 and $40.00 per article. I have to admit that I was expecting a little more, but I'm going to take the offer. Why? I'm trying out other places, but if they don't pay...I'll stay here. It's quick and easy money. I write on over ten blogs anyway, sometimes for free or for change-depending on how the adsense does. (By the way, they pay using paypal or you can have snail mail deliver a check.)

I have submitted to another writing site and will report the findings on that one. I have a feeling they are going to be a little more lucrative. Don't worry I will divulge all the details.

Checking Out The Money Making Sites (Helium Knolwedge)

You know that I am always checking out the money making sites to give you a review. My sole purpose in researching these work from home opportunities is to make money to pay off the debt. Here is one that was brought to my attention by a fellow bloggerparty member named Ms. Zola (thanks)! This site is great because once you take action (in writing an answer)it becomes passive income, much like google adsense.

Here is what it entails:
1. You sign up.
2. You answer questions.
3. Every time the answers are viewed, (which will happen because of the way the system is set up), you get paid.
4. You can submit questions, but you must also submit the answer.
5. They list the highest paying questions on the front page, so you can answer all of those and you make passive income. In other words, your answers are being viewed and rated by other members when they answer a question, so you are always collecting $$$. Even when you are sleeping! You know I love that! My 7 kids are very expensive. They are even consuming income when they are sleeping! LOL!!!

The minimum payment is $25.00. They pay by check or paypal. There are people there that have already collected over $160.00 in two months for very little effort.

The Strategy To Make The Most Money:
This information was given by two members that state they have already collected monthly checks for $30.00 and $60.00. One stated that it pays their phone bill! LOL!
1. One member answers 4 top paying questions everyday. This might take twenty minutes depending on how many answers you have to rate (remember the that's how you make money).
2. The other member stated she answers four top paying questions a day and makes $60.00.
3. If you create a question and then answer it, you will get even more reads because every person that answers it has to read your answer!

So, that's another way to make some quick money! I know you will enjoy it! I will be reporting on two other sites I found for some passive income and another writing site. I have to go take my kids to the mall, so I'll post that tonight or tomorrow. So, stay tuned!!!
