How to Make Residual Income Online

Hey!  Got great news.  Haven't posted in a long time because I was working hard building passive income streams.  After years of struggling with Amazon and Squidoo, I finally figured them out!  (Don't worry.  I'm going to share the details).  I've already posted most of my stats on other sites, so I'm going to link to them here.  Don't want to waste your time or mine.  Some of you may have been following me on some other web 2.0 or social media sites.  If you read the post, you can just skip it.

HubPages Earnings
I received several payments from HubPages during 2012.  The problem with HubPages right now is that their traffic is all over the place.  Sometimes they rank well on Google and other times they are snubbed.  I wrote 50 hubs and took a break to see what happened with the earnings.  My hubs earn every day.  However, I am going to need about 50 more hubs to get a monthly payout.  I haven't written them because of the issue with their traffic.  Love that fact that the hubs are still earning and making sales on Amazon.  Will go back to finish the 50 hubs.  At the moment I am making a lot more money with Squidoo!

see if making a lot of lenses using this keyword research tool would be profitable.  Every lensmaster that was posting huge earnings was using it.  Was it just a coincidence?  I subscribed and got busy building 50+ lenses a month.  Check out my Squidoo Income Challenge Report!  I wish I would have known about Jaaxy before!  Writing content for your blog or any web 2.0 site without Jaaxy is like playing darts - blindfolded.  I tested Jaaxy's results with social media sites, bookmarking sites, blogs and web 2.0 sites.  It just works!  After such great results, I decided to build a 1000 lenses before the fall of 2013.  Even if each lens only earns $1 (they earn more), that totals $1000. a month just from Squidoo.  Hello!?!

RedGage Earnings 
This site is not only the best place to get backlinks for any of your money sites, you can earn money too. They have a daily drawing that I have won three times.  This is a great place to share your best photos, videos and bookmarks.  You can also be entered into the daily raffle by submitting how to articles.  I haven't tapped into the full potential of the site.  However, I earn every day just with my bookmarks.  In a couple of months I am going to create some product pages and review articles.  My goal is get payouts on a monthly basis.  If you're not a member, join Redgage right away.   You will not regret it!

Amazon Income Update

In the last quarter of 2006, I started trying to use Amazon to monetize my sites.  I earned a whopping $6.00.  It took me a whole four years to earn $1.72 and another 5 months to earn 16 cents.  I gave up on Amazon.  I couldn't understand how people could earn so much money using this.  I knew it had to be more beneficial to use in affiliate marketing because they offer so many different products.  I just couldn't figure out how to make money with Amazon.

Last year, I read an ebook that explained how you can build free Squidoo lenses and monetize them with your own Amazon affiliate link.  Before reading this ebook, my Squidoo earnings were nothing to brag about.  I earned most of my Squidoo money through affiliate networks (such as CJ and Share A Sale).  I also earned commissions for referrals to different sites.  Even though I had a lens that ranked #2 on the site, the Squidoo payouts were not spectacular.



This week I am happy to share three goals I have achieved:

1. SALES:  I had 51 sales in one day on Amazon.
2. REFERRAL RATE:  My Amazon referral rate will be 7% tomorrow.  
3. EARNINGS:  March will be my highest earning month so far.

I haven't made any jaw dropping earnings like others I have seen online, but my earnings have steadily increased.  Obviously, the steps I am taking are working.

Take the time to build backlinks or outsource your link building.  It will help you get more targeted traffic and increase your earnings!

Adsense Income Update

Several months ago, I shared about my experiment to increase my adsense income.  After creating backlinks to several pages on one of my blogs, I doubled my google adsense earnings in one month.  The next month I made three times the amount I started with.  I managed to earn close to $400.00 in one month.  I decided to see what would happen if I stopped posting any new content or building any links.  I'll let you know what happened as well as the places I used to build the links.

There were a couple of things that I did before I started building links.

• changed the layout of the site
• added more adsense modules
• added more ways to earn money when ever possible (such as Amazon)
• interlinked related pages

I used the following sites for the adsense experiment:

Redgage is free to join and it's also a money maker!  You can earn money from views that your content receives.  You can also earn money from bonuses for popular content or by winning the daily raffle (3 ways you can enter).  I won the raffle and received a redgage visa card with my earnings.  Haven't used it yet.  :)

Automatic Backlink Creator is a wordpress plugin that builds links automatically.  How?  You upload the wordpress plugin on one of your wordpress sites and you can build backlinks on autopilot to any of your money sites including other blogs, squidoo lenses, hubpages, infobarrels, etc.  It's a simple process too.  You add the url, three anchor texts and a description.  These will be rotated on a network of blogs as a link on the    home page.

Ping.fm is a free service that anyone can use to post to several social media sites simultaneously.  It takes a little time to set up all the accounts, but it's worth it.

Backlinksindexer is a service that builds backlinks to your backlinks.  The only thing you have to do is copy and paste each backlink that points to your site.  They do the rest.  Every backlink that is indexed improves your serps.  You can get a free trial just to test it out.  I tried it and it was successful, so I subscribed.

These four sites were the main methods I used to create backlinks, but I also posted new content regularly.  The results?

• I had multiple $25.00 days.  
• My amazon earnings increased.
• Revenue from other sources such as Amazon also increased.

What happened when I stopped adding new content and building links?

It took several months, but my earnings fell below $100.00 again.  I am sure that if I had continued to build links to my old content (that didn't have any backlinks) I would have maintained the earnings.  

I am glad that I ran this experiment.  Now I know that one of my simple blogs can earn about $400.00 in one month.  Those keywords don't even pay as much as the keywords on this site.  I wonder how much I can earn with this one?  I'll keep you posted.

By the way, I have an update concerning my Squidoo money.  I am going to finish sprucing up the post and will auto post it in the near future.  I just started working on increasing my HubPages money too...

Squidoo Money

I am totally excited about sharing my latest experiences with all the different ways I have been making money online.  I think I will start with my Squidoo Money experiment.  Two years ago, I wrote about the 60 Day Squidoo Challenge I was participating in, but I didn't complete it.  Why?  Well,  because my efforts weren't producing a lot of results. That's because I hadn't cracked the Squidoo code yet.  Let me explain.

When I first started using Squidoo, I knew little about creating truly profitable lenses. I was basically just churning out lenses on topics I thought would be profitable such as the latest teen heart throbs, making money online and a few topics I knew something about. Did I make money using Squidoo? Yes, but most of the money I earned came from products or sites I recommended. I got a lot of referrals, commissions from sites or products I recommended and a few clickbank sales. You're probably thinking I shouldn't be complaining.  I am not, but I can't believe how I was missing out on sales because I was doing it all wrong.

What has changed about my Squidoo lens building? 
There is a winning Squidoo formula that can be followed to create profitable lenses over and over again!

What difference does this Squidoo formula? 
Now I make sales almost every day from Amazon or ebay!  After years of failing at earning commissions with Amazon, I received my first direct deposit two months after following this Squidoo guide.

Since this amazing discovery, I have created a total of 55 lenses. The really surprising part of it all is the speed at which you can profit from a Squidoo lens. I created a lens and in a few days made a sale! What I couldn't believe is that none of the backlinks I had created for the lens were visible yet. That beats the speed of making a profit with an automated blog!  What's even more unbelievable is that you don't need tons of visitors to make a profit.  The image on the left proves that even a low ranked Squidoo lens with little traffic can make sales!

How can I earn more money with my Squidoo lenses?
The answer is make more quality lenses to increase your earnings. Yes,there are lenses that earn more money than others. Why? To answer that, you need to understand how you earn money on Squidoo.

How does anyone earn money on Squidoo?
There are two ways Squidoo lensmasters earn money.
1. Squidoo lensmasters can earn money from the adsense pool.
That money is divided among lensmasters by the rank of their lenses. The top 2000 lenses earn between $8.00 and $12.00 each. The next two tiers earns even less. There is a lens created by Loyalis (498 lenses) that examines the Squidconomy - The Economics of Squidoo. Visit the lens to see a more clear picture.
2. Squidoo lensmasters can earn money from affiliate sales.
A Squidoo lensmaster can use the modules available on Squidoo to earn revenue. Of course, your profit is split with Squidoo. A lensmaster can choose to use their own affiliate links from affiliate networks or clickbank and keep the full commission. The choice is yours. If you're new to affiliate marketing, you may want to start with the Squidoo modules provided. At the same time, learn all that you can about the affiliate marketing.

So I created a Squidoo lens, what next?
You may have created the most unique, greatest lens on the earth, but you;re the only one that knows about it. You need traffic. Email it to your friends and family. What else can you do? Guess what? A Squidoo lensmaster created a lens to give you the tools you need to promote your lens. The Squidoo lensmaster jeffwend (481 lenses) created Promoting Your Lens Outside Of Squidoo

How much do these Lensmasters earn?
That depends on the topic of their lens, how many they have and how they monetize it.

PotPieGirl (112 lenses) created an ebook to help with the marketing of your Squidoo lens. On her blog, PotPieGirl has shared some information on her earnings.

Loyalis revealed he earned this: One Squidoo Lens, One month, $1,000. Most recently, the Captain Squid wrote a post revealing he earned ? $500 in one day

How much am I earning? I earned close to $70.00 in one month for (16) lenses I created. Many of them were made over a year ago. Those totals don't include earnings from affiliate networks. I realized that this was a big deal. Why? I wasn't putting much time into Squidoo, but what if I did? That got me to thinking, "What if I created more lenses?" Most of the top earners on Squidoo have 100's of lenses. What if I created 100's of lenses? Not only that, I could link my blogs to them which creates more traffic. Best of all, I added my twitter profile and have tripled my followers.

Squidoo can help you earn more money, increase your social media networks and traffic.
