Instantly Add Your Do Follow Blog!

Do you use a do follow blogs list?
Every now and then, I use "do follow blogs" for backlinks. There are a few reasons why I don't use them all the time. After reading this, you'll understand why. Not too long ago, I wrote a post about a do follow blog list I found. After attempting to use it a few times, I became frustrated. Do Follow Blogs are great because you can get backlinks, but there are a few problems with the lists that are currently on the net.

Finding the Right Category for Your Do Follow Blog
Blogs should be close to your blog's topic. That's where I became frustrated. I had to click on all the links, which was time consuming. Why? Many times you can't figure out the subject of a blog, just by reading it's title. Now, imagine you're trying to sort through three or four different do follow blog lists?! Perhaps, you have an unusual name for your blog. Many people want to get these important seo details taken care of as soon as possible. Eliminate the guess work. Let other bloggers find your blog in the right category quickly and easily.

Being Added to the Do Follow Blog List
Let's face it. Bloggers are busy people. They usually have a day job, a family, hobbies and a blog..or two. If they want to be successful, they also need to answer email, blog comments and spend time on social networks. So, they don't always add the do follow blogs in a timely manner. So, you keep waiting and waiting and checking....to see if your blog is added.

Adding the Do Follow Blogs List to Your Site
You want to tell your readers about it, but the list is long and has many different topics. You also have to go through the trouble of adding it manually to your site (and your site still isn't on it). What if you could just grab the blogs that are relevant to your niche?

After becoming completely frustrated, I created the Do Follow Blogs List you see below. It eliminated all the problems bloggers faced, everything I described above.

Visit the Do Follow Blogs List on Squidoo to:
1. Choose the appropriate category for your blog.
2. Instantly add your "do follow" blog to the list.
3. Comment on other blogs within your same niche.
4. Copy and paste the code for the niche you want, straight on your blog.
5. Add the Squidoo lens to your favorite social media for more exposure.

What are the benefits of adding your do follow blog to the list?
1. More traffic
2. New readers
3. The potential of going viral

Hope you take advantage of my latest creation. Be sure to add your blog and share it with your readers. :)

What is a Meme? A Viral, Link Building Traffic Generator

Creating content that is viral is a great way to increase your exposure on the net. One excellent tool used by bloggers for viral linking is the Meme. It was used heavily when I first entered the blogosphere in 2005. Some Memes have been successful in increasing Technorati authority, such as the one spread by DoshDosh. Haven't had the opportunity to participate in any Memes? Don't know why you should participate in a Meme? Continue reading to learn about some of the benefits.

Memes are a great way for bloggers to accomplish several things.
1. It's a great way to find new interesting blogs.
2. It's a simple way to increase your backlinks.
3. Memes can increase your traffic.
4. They can help in your branding efforts.
5. One may even make some money from the added traffic.

Stephanie from Stop the Ride (a debt reduction blogger and creator of the Make it From Scratch blog carnival) has tagged me. I haven't participated in one of these in a very long time. I thought it would be a great way to involve the readers of this blog. I welcome everyone to participate, even if I don't tag you. I can only tag 5 people, so I encourage everyone to copy and paste the Meme and participate even if you weren't tagged.

*Start Copying Here*

I have randomly selected 5 of you below to be tagged and I hope that you will similarly publish this post in your blog. You will have to tag 5 other bloggers and just keep adding on to the list. (Do not replace, just keep on adding! Yes we hope it will be a long list!)

It’s real easy!

Tag others and see your Technorati Authority increase exponentially!

The benefits of Viral Linking:
- One of the fastest ways to see your technorati authority explode!
- Increase your Google PageRank fast
- Attract large volume of new traffic to your site
- Build your community
- Make new friends!

How to Get Your Blog Indexed By Google (and other major search engines) in 5 Steps!

Many of you know that I have a Squidoo lens that is listed on the first page of Google for the term "MAKE MONEY ONLINE". That lens has many different ways I use to earn a full time income from home. Since it is a popular search term, I usually get lots of hits from Google. I also get lots of email from people asking me to mentor them, help them with earning money and guide them through creating a blog. The question I'm asked most often is "How can I get my blog indexed by Google?"

Several months ago, I created 4WAHMs: Make Money on the Internet. This site lists all the different ways you can make money online, lists resources to help you earn more and has free advertising for those that would like to get some exposure. I had the blog indexed by Google in less than 48 hours. Here are the steps that I took to accomplish that.

1. Submit your blog to search engines. You can submit your blog to search engines individually or do what I do. I submit my blogs toSubmitExpress and SubmitPlus. Submitting your blog will be a little time consuming. Many of the smaller search engines will ask you to register your blog on their particular site. This means you may end up doing it several times. They will send you a confirmation link to your inbox to verify that you are the owner of the blog. Take the time to do this. It will help you in the long run. I'm listed on the top position for msn's search engine for the term getting out of debt.

2. Claim your blog.
The most important place to claim ownership of your blog is Technorati. Later on you can claim your blog at MyBlogLog, BlogCatalog, SpicyPage and FuelMyBlog. These sites will help you with traffic. They are indexed regularly because of the enormous amount of fresh content and that will help your blog.

3. Register at Forums and add your blog to your signature.
The first forum you should join is Blogger Forum. You can also ask for links on the link exchange thread. At a later date, you can join other forums that are relevant to your blog's content. Most forums have active members that are constantly adding fresh content to the threads. This means they are indexed regularly and that will show up as a link for you. Be sure to add informative content to the forums. Spam is frowned upon and if you are guilty of it....you will be deleted.

4. Link Love
This one may be a little tough for new bloggers. I linked 4WAHMs to several of my blogs that range from a 4 to 3 page rank. I know what you're thinking.

What if I don't have a blog to link to with a decent page rank?
If you want a link from this blog (PR4), you can write a review of it and get a link back.
Here are the rules:
1. Write a review about this site and use Getting Out of Debt as the anchor text (hyperlink). The URL is http://getting-out-of-debt.blogspot.com/
2. Leave a comment here with your blogger name and the URL of the review.

You can get even more links by writing reviews of the following sites:
1. SEO Link Building Services (PR1)
2. An Autism Blog (PR0)
http://www.pdd-nosmemoirs.com/
3. Gift Giving Made Easy (PR1)
http://supermomshops.blogspot.com/
4. Pro Blogging 411 (PR1)
http://www.pro-blogging411.com/
5. Sending Smiles Across the Miles (PR3)
http://supermom-in-ny.blogspot.com/
6. SuperMom 2005 (PR3)
http://supermom2005.mindsay.com/

Here are a few more bloggers that are offering links for reviews:
1. www.JohnChow.com (PR6)
2. www.CareerRamblings.com (PR6)
3. www.TylerCruz.com (PR5)
4. Make Money With a 13 yr old (PR4)
5. TheBlogHog (PR3)
6. An Army Wife's Life (RR5)

How can writing these reviews and getting these links from high PR sites help you?
Page Rank is very important, especially when you want to make money online writing reviews. The more links you have from sites with decent page rank, the more money you can make. ReviewMe charges $400.00 for a review on John Chow's Blog. He gets $200.00 for a 200 word review, the company gets the other $200.00. Think about it. Wouldn't you like to earn $200.00 per review?

5. Submit posts to BlogCarnivals.
Blog Carnivals are hosted on different blogs and are about various topics. They accomplish two things: traffic and link love. Find a carnival that is relevant to your blog's niche and submit, submit, submit. Be sure to link back to the carnival when they are posted. If you really want to gain lots of links quickly, host a carnival. Everyone that participates in a carnival is given the instruction to link back to the carnival. That means you may be getting lots and lots of links in a matter of a day!

I hope you enjoyed this post. Favorite this site on Technorati, bookmark on delicious and subscribe to the blog! It will be greatly appreciated! Be sure to leave a comment!

This is Why I Share How to Make Money Online

This morning, I woke up a little sad and frustrated. My minivan needs repairs. I felt like I was finally getting out of the hole, and then this happens ...again. I always start my weekdays by checking my email, the stats on my sitemeter, technorati and the affiliate network totals.

This morning, I found great news. Someone had submitted this blog to a contest where the prize is $1000.00. This would come in handy at this time. If you read one of the entries below, you'll find that I didn't know who had taken this great action.

A little while ago, I was surfing on mybloglog. I received a message from a blogger known as Merkal. He visits my blog often. He told me he had been the one that submitted my blog. I thanked him and explained what I was going through.

Here is his reply:

Your Message from Merkal

----

I fully support you. I appreciate your struggle so far away from you. I
have made so much money by following your blog and i will always
appreciate it. Money comes somehow, but sharing your ideas and being a good
mom is worthless supermom.

Greetings from Istanbul, Turkey!

The reason I blog about companies that help you make money online is because I ove to help other people. I learned the hard way, but you don;t have to. Merkal's message made my day. I realized that the time I put into this blog does help others. That is the reason why I started blogging in the first place! (By the way, for all my regular readers...I took off the comment moderation and the no follow tags. If you leave a comment, it should show up as a link back to your site).

Thanks Merkal.

Here's some link love for you!

Should You Pay Attention to the Customer Service of a "Possible" Employer?

A blog by the name of No Regrets, but plenty of memories... poses an excellent point. (Be sure to visit and read all the great posts!) When you are looking for employment, shouldn't the employer acknowledge receipt of your resume?

Several of my friends are currently looking for employment. One of them is recently divorced, another's hours have been cut in half due to downsizing and the other has had her job eliminated due to poor enrollment! They all have the same complaint. They are actively looking for employment and send resumes to different employment possitions they qualify for. After that, they wait and wait ...and wait some more. They don't receive a call, email or letter stating that their resume was received, filed or being considered at all.

The fact that you are looking for employment with a company should be enough for them to treat you with respect. After all, just like the blogger states on her post, being employed by a company is beneficial to both parties. They are looking for certain skill sets and you are offering those skills for a monetary exchange. Right?

Read the post and tell me what you think. Being ignored by a company you are seeking employment with is a red flag. If they don't respect future employees, do you expect their customer service to be any better?...

Makes you think huh!?!

Thanks for your great post!

EMoms at Home: A Great Resource!

I was reading one of my favorite blogs ShoeMoney. "ShoeMoney" had a post about a contest that is running on a site called EMoms at Home. The prizes are great and I wanted to share them with you.

You can win a free copy of SEOBook by Aaron Wall just for linking to the blog! Another prize is Meet and Grow Rich. You automatically get a $500.00 coupon code for the Blogger's Elite Retreat just for linking! (I would love to go to that retreat). The grand prize is a phone consultation with Jeremy "ShoeMoney" Shoemaker. Here's a list of the prizes.

Go visit because I know you will love all the great information she has. I'm off to read more posts...

An Interesting Experiment by Ilker Yoldas

When I started blogging, I purposely didn't add any pictures anywhere. There was a reason for this. I wrote a post about it called "Method to the Madness". The purpose was that I wanted people to get to know me, my children and my life without seeing what we looked like. People usually judge a book by it's cover. I wish it wasn't like that, but it is. What happens next? They make this whole snap judgement and create this "distorted perception of reality". Then they expect you to act and behave like the fantasy world they created.

My friends have a theory. When I was going through court battles with my ex-husband for custody, visitation and support...I always got the short end of the stick. All of my friends told me they believed it was because I didn't let them see me sweat. They told me not to dress well, do my hair or my makeup. They wanted me to show up looking...well in despair. That's not me, I never let them see me sweat. For that reason, I may have been misconstrued as a villain. Whatever. I survived and I still don't let them see me sweat. My friends believed the judges assumed I was a cold hearted b#$@&. As if I had stepped all over his heart and walked away. Hhmm, if they only knew. Their theory was that the way I looked was what created this distorted perception of reality.

Anwyay for that reason, I chose to write in my blogs and leave the rest to the imagination. I thought it was funny to read about a person that did the opposite. Here's a blog post on The Soho Quest about it:

Gaming the Blogosphere with Ilker Yoldas

This person used a picture of an attractive female (she's a latin celebrity) as their avatar as an experiment. The experiment was to see if it helped the blog gain more traffic. I think that's pretty funny. The blog is pretty good. It's called The Thinking Blog. (Perfect example for all those young kids. You really never know who you are talking to or reading about).

Did the experiment work? Well, I knew about The Thinking Blog because the avatar was all over MyBlogLog. I also saw the avatar repeatedly on JohnChow.com. I'm sure it did contribute to a lot of visitors that were curious.

Do you think that a picture can have this effect? Do you think that some of the top myspace bloggers would be there, if they hadn't posted their "professional" photos? Do you think that mentality is specific just to myspace or does it happen on other blog sites? Could it be due to the age of the readers or could this happen among an older crowd of bloggers?

Hhmm, makes you wonder. Doesn't it?

What Are Bloggers Saying About SuperMom in NY's WAH Opps?

As promised here is the post with your entries. Many bloggers have taken my adive and tried different programs I've recommended and have had great results. Here are just of the few bloggers:

I spend a lot of time blogging. Probably too much, but I really do enjoy it. Could I actually make money while doing it? Supermom over at Getting Out of Debt. has talked several times about different ways to make money with your blog and I never really was interested until this week when she posted about Blogvertise. Now this one has me interested. This post is actually my entry post for their approval process.

Thanks to this supermom of 7 whose blog post hipped me to a bunch of "get paid to blog" sites, I learned about this Mickey D's deal from CREAMaid, who will pay me (hopefully) a handsome 10 bucks pretty quickly (I pray) to said nearly empty PayPal account.

Okay, as I've mentioned before, I am always willing to scour the web in search of ways to earn some money while staying at home. Why not right? I have several sites that I frequent, one being Getting Out of Debt which always has a bunch of neat ways to earn money. This particular review she wrote actually had me run right over, now it has taken me a few days to actually comment on the site as I was looking around carefully.

Need Your Permalinks

I'm adding a blogger testimonial entry to my Squidoo lens. It will be an entry on this blog. I've come across blogs that have posted a link to this blog or the Squidoo lens MAKE MONEY ONLINE on Squidoo with a write up about their success with the programs I've reviewed. Unfortunately, I never copied and pasted the links for safekeeping. Now I need to know where those entries are and their permalinks.

Let me explain what's going on.
I'm going to create a section on the Squidoo lens MAKE MONEY ONLINE on Squidoo, which is currently ranked #9 of over 50,000 lenses. It will be a blog entry with links to bloggers that have taken my advice and used the programs I have reviewed. For example, if you are one of my referrals at MaviShare, Blogitive or sold your cell phone to the site I reviewed and wrote a post about it thanking me with a link-please leave a comment here and include the permalink to the entry. I know that many of you have thanked me, I've read the posts. I've tried to reply to them, but sometimes it's been difficult. (Your platform wouldn't let me comment).

How is it going to be done?
What I'm going to do is copy and paste a portion of your entry, with your username and blog. Then I will place a hyperlink to your entry with the title of your entry.

Why am I doing this?
I receive email from everywhere. Many people ask me if these sites really pay. I just figured that since many of you have tried it and know it's for real, I could use your testimonial. You can benefit from some extra traffic and some links. You may even gain some new readers. Just be sure that it states which site you tried, how much you made and which site you found it on (one of my blogs or the Squidoo lens).

I'm also going to start answering email from my blog. Answering all the questions I receive has become overwhelming. It is time consuming. I do want to help you earn money from home, but it makes more sense to answer a question once and leave it here for others to read. I'm sure I'll have to find a way to categorize that in the future!

Don't worry if you don't see your comment right away. I have enabled comment moderation due to spam and a few characters I didn't want to engage with. (As you can read above, I'm a mom of 7. I want to keep this a family friendly site).

I want to write the entry and add it to the Squidoo lens by Tuesday. If you want to write a new entry, you can. Just be sure to write the site you used. If I get enough entries for the different companies, I might just write an entry for each particular site. That would spread the testimonials throughout the lens. I'll see how it goes...
