How Blogging Has Helped Me Reduce My Debt

It's been some time since I have blogged at Getting Out of Debt.  Hey, don't be fooled.  I haven't been absent from the blogosphere, just extremely busy.  Since I started blogging in 2005, I have created a large network of blogs, Squidoo lenses, HubPages, and other web properties that have become my home business.  See, blogging was the starting point of my work from home adventure.  Once I began this work from home journey and saw that I could earn a living from it, I have put my all into it.  Best of all, it has greatly contributed to my debt reduction!

Blogging about debt is a great motivator.  Why?
  • Blogging about your debt goals, victories and failures creates accountability. 
  • Writing down your goals helps you keep better track of your achievements.
  • By sharing your debt reduction journey, you can get great feedback from readers.
  • Keeping a weblog of your progress helps one get up after you fall.

What's my advice to the reader?  Whether you are trying to get out of debt, work from home, lose weight or start a new career starting a blog can be a very rewarding experience.  By seeking out other similar blogs, you will find great advice, encouragement and accountability.  Best case scenario, it may become another source of income!
