What's a Blogger?

Thought I would give up an update, since I have the time.

Blogitive: I received my W2 or is it a 1099? Whatever, I don't have it handy right now. I do remember the figure for the year. I earned $2155.00. Not bad, huh?

The Flu: Four of the kids had the flu, three more to go. I pray they don't get it, but they always do... It'll give me more to blog about.

The Diva: She has been a vegetarian for about two months now. Yup, a vegetarian. Ironic, when mommy is trying to stay on The Atkin's Diet. So now, I'm cooking three different dinners. I'll definitely explain that later this week. Might even start blogging about vegetarian menus.

I'm waiting to receive the 1099's or W2's from PayPerPost and other companies. Yes, I earned over $600.00. I'll be sitting down with someone with all this paperwork, trying to explain my income...again.

On another note, I was asked by one of my kid's guidance counselor about my employment. I started by asking if she knew what a blogger was. I can tell she was perplexed. I started explaining the multiple streams of income and how I earn a living. Let's just say, she was confused. Umm, that's just me that earns a modest living. I pretty much earn what I used to at my full time employment. It's modest, believe me. I read about how much these pro-bloggers earn and I'm amazed. What do they tell their kid's teachers? How do other people react to how they earn their income? I remember Dooce's post last year about her trip to the accountant. It was pretty funny, but then again....she always is.

I still think I'm doing pretty well, considering I started blogging a little over a year ago. I'm even more shocked when I remember that in 2003, I didn't even know how to turn on a computer. Now I can customize my blog! (Even more amazing, I have about 15 blogs and over 5 Squidoo lenses).

Last year, The Entrepreneur made me a Valentine's Day Card. In it, he wrote why he loved me and why I was so great.

One funny quote:

"I love my MOM because...
She is a great blogger."

Of course, that was followed by his teacher asking,

"What's a blogger?"

I'm totally amazed by this post. How many hours per week do you spend blogging? 15 blogs? How do you do that? (Send me an e-mail if you prefer.)

Thanks for participating in the Carnival of Family Life which will be posted this evening. We have many wonderful entries, so come on over and read the others!

Congrats on your success. One day people won't have to ask what a blogger is.

Here via the carnival of family life.
