Cooperative Bank in the UK offers a variety of credit cards with rewards that appeal to different tastes. For the financially savvy, they offer the Advantage credit card that has 0% for the first 6 months. That deal is available on purchases or balance transfers. After the 6th month, the APR reverts to 18.9%.

For those that like to use their cards for daily expenses to rack up on rewards points, they offer the Travel credit card. This card has 0% for the first 6 months on balance transfers and purchases, but reverts to a 16.9% APR. You can accumulate travel points with the use of the card that can be redeemed for anything travel related.

Love to help organizations? With the Affinity card, you can choose from 24 organizations that can receive donations from your credit card fee as well as purchases. Organizations represented include Greenpeace, Amnesty International and Save The Children.

Money4Banners:Make Money and Get Out of Debt!

Money4Banners or Money4Banners.com is a site I recently discovered. The reason I like sites like this one is because you get passive income from one action. Like the way that sounds?

Here's how Money4Banners works:
1. You use their application to sign up your blog or site.
2. You choose three pages you will display their 468x60 banner.
3. You submit the URL to the three pages.
4. They accept or decline your apllication. Once you're accepted you will receive the html code, which you copy and paste on the predetermined pages.
5. After 30 days, you receive your payment. You have the choice of receiving an Amazon voucher worth £10 or a payment to your paypal account. After that, you will receive £5 a month. This payment can add up if you have several blogs.

Did you notice that the payments are not in American dollars?
After going on Google and checking the currency exchange rate, I realized that the amount is almost double in American dollars. Even after you are charged by paypal for the currency exchange, you will make money for displaying their banners.

ClixSense: Is it legit or a scam?

ClixSense or ClixSense.com is a site that will pay you to view ads. Many people disregard sites like this because they don't see the potential. I've been asked if this site is a scam or if they are legitimate and pay. I've been paid by ClixSense. They are legit and I'm pretty happy with them. There is only one thing that I think can be improved upon. They charge a $3.00 fee to receive your payout. Personally, I believe $3.00 is a lot to lose when you are viewing ads that pay between one to three cents. I think the administrators should consider using paypal. I'm sure it would be more cost efficient, not to mention the time it would save!

How can you reach the ClixSense payout faster?
The minimum payout is $10.00. It can be reached quickly with the aid of three options ClixSense offers.
1. You get .10 for each referral as a bonus.
2. If you upgrade your account to premium membership, you are able to view over 535 ads that aren't available to the basic members.
3. You receive $5.00 for each referral that upgrades to premium member. If two members upgrade, you reach the payout.


How can you get referrals for ClixSense?

Technorati Problems...Again.

For some reason, Technorati isn't recognizing this blog. I waited day after day and it was never fixed. I don't know if it a technical problem or if they are penalizing me for running a contest which requires adding this blog to your favorites. I didn't bother sending a support ticket. The last time my blog wasn't updating, I sent several requests for help. They went unanswered. I finally figured out a way to fix it on my own. Now, I don't know what to do. I decided to let it go.

They also have a great program called Debt Samaritan. There are guidelines in place to qualify for this voluntary position. Debt Samaritans are people that have been in debt and have empathy for others that are in the same situation.

A Home Baseed Business for the Fashionistas

There are many home based businesses to fit the lifestyle of every person. There are home based businesses that involve hosting parties like Tupperware, Creatvie Memories or Mary Kay. Last month, I opened a new account with Bank of America. There were several reasons I wanted to do this. The first reason is because of their Keep The Change program.

What is Bank of America's Keep The Change Program?
It is a program that helps you save money by automatically rounding your debit purchases to a dollar. Your change is deposited into your savings account. They are giving new customers a 100% match for the first three months of their Keep The Change Savings. What does that mean for you? If you have $30.00 a month in change transferred to your savings, they give you a $30.00 bonus.

What are the benefits of a Bank of America account?
1. If you open an Bank of America MyAccess Checking account online, you get free checking, free bill pay and you're required to have direct deposit!
2. They offer online banking and mobile banking-for those of you that surf the net with your cellphone.
3. There is no minimum balance required either.
4. They have a sign in system that implements a site key for added security.

How can you get a $25.00 bonus for opening a Bank of America personal checking account?
Send me an email if you're interested. Unfortunately, they don't give out the referral link. That means I have to put your email in their system, so that you get the $25.00 bonus. (I also get a $25.00 bonus for referring you.) You can earn up to $25 more when you add any Bank of America savings account. Your account must stay open for a minimum of 90 days. Student Bank of America Bonus

In my opinion, Bank of America's referral program beats ING's program for two reasons:
1. Bank of America's personal checking account requires a $25.00 minimum deposit to open the account, but no mimimum balance to keep it open. (ING requires a $250.00 deposit.)
2. Bank of America's bonuses are unlimited (until January 1, 2008). ING only allows a certain amount of referrals.

If there is a tool that can teach me, edify me or simplify my life, I try to get my hands on it. Thanks to a special site, I was able to get a copy of Clay Nelson's Life Balance. What does living in the present mean?

In the same manner, when you are at home and your 3 year old duaghter asks you to sit down for a tea party...you experience the tea party. You sit down, make small talk, follow her instructions and create a memory. Take in the whole moment. Remember the sweet sound of her voice, the way her curls touch her cheek, the way she is giddy when she says your name, the scent of the room.

After listening to these tapes, I have tried to live in the present with my children. I've put them to bed and watched them drift off to sleep. I've listened to my teens tell me about the latest youtube.com spoof and stopped working to devote my full attention to them. All the while, recording the twinkle in their eye and the hearty careless laughter of youth.
