We WON the HP Digital Camera!

In case you don't know what contest I'm talking about. TechCrunch's most loathed company PayPerPost.com was running a contest. To enter you had to blog about why you thought you should win a new HP digital camera, printer, paper and memory card. What did I write about? All the stuff that has gone wrong, month after month. I was blatantly honest and now-.........the whole world knows about my soap opera existemce. Well, actually just the small piece of active mybloglog, youtube and payperpost users. Most of my readers know, I run on crisis mode...everyday.

Anyway, here's the youtube video Veronique made and posted on the site:

A Method to the Madness

There was a reason why I chose to not include photos on my blogs. When some people are confronted with certain situations, they become deaf and dumb. Sometimes to be taken serious, you must do certain things. I did what I did and I exercised my brain. Now it's time to exercise my bod.

These are pictures of me. I've never had a problem bouncing back from a pregnancy. Most of the time, I went back to to 101 within the first week. This a perfect example of how people that are emotionally abusive can cause havoc on your preception. Everyday I had to hear how I was fat....and ugly. Thinking you're fat at a size 1/2 or 3/4 is a red flag for an eating disorder. My ex-husband reminded me everyday, how overweight I was????

Yup, I was really fat (a size 1/2-3/4).... I find it amazing how he was able to get me to believe what he did. I can honestly say I lost myself in that relationship. I walked away from everything that I had worked for. I left everything I enjoyed to be submersed in a world of misery. Strangley enough, I know that when it comes to relationships like that-both parties have a need that each is "feeding". I believe that since I grew up in a very controlling household, where my parents were extremely overprotective...I gravitated to his insanely jealous, overly possessive, irrational ways. In about six months, I'm going to reveal some details that are going to blow you away. I'm convinced it was due to my upbringing.

Since I have decided to go attack this weight problem, I will be slowing down for the next two weeks. Slowing down from my blogging and internet activities. I will still be doing some things I have to tend to, but for the most part I will not be spending 12 hours on the net. I will be training to get back into shape. I want to go back to the studio to get some updated shots. The kids need some new headshots as well. This is something we enjoy.

I'm getting closer to the debt free mark. This venture has spurred me to really pursue my goals. I sincerely hope my life is completely different by the end of this year. All it takes is baby steps in the right direction, right! Taking action will propel us in the direction of success...

**I wanted to know if the bloglet is sending you emails as I update. If it's not, I'll change to feedburner for updates. Please leave me a comment and let me know.
**I wanted to encourage all of you to join MyBlogLog.com. They are a great place to find new blogs. Everytime you visit someone that has a widget on their blog, your picture pops up in the box. That has the potential to send you some traffic. I know I've gotten many visitors like that.. I've also found some new great blogs to read!

Since I'm sharing pictures, which one of my kids do you think looks the most like me?
This is The Comedian.

This is The Diva.

The Entrepreneur and The Little One.

This is the Princess.

The Chatterbox (my niece) and The Princess.

Motley Fool Mortgage UK : A Review

Motley Fool Mortgage UK has requested I write a review of their UK mortgage site. Motley Fool is one of my favorite sites, so I jumped at the chance. They always have great stories in their forums and excellent resources on their site. I'm already acquainted with their US site, so I clicked on the link to see their UK site.

First let me tell you, most of you already know how physically, emotionally and financially draining it is to buy a home. Of course, if you're smart it won't deplete all your resources, just consume your home fund. It's always a great idea to be completely informed about all your choices before taking such a big step. Motley Fool UK can help you with this. Their site has a breakdown of every possible kind of mortgage. They give you a step by step guide of what to expect and what the future will look like with that specific loan. It's very important that you spend time reading over the different types of mortgages. What is a great fit for a friend may not be a perfect marriage for you.

When you enter their mortgage loan category, you wil see a page that has the different rates UK companies have! They provide impartial information on mortgage products. You can even get a quote from every company listed. They have great articles for the mortgage hunter that will quench those worries and fears.

Motley Fool Mortgage UK has a free mortgage guide too. How can you get one? Just enter your email and it will be sent to your inbox! It's a great idea to request for one. There are always fees that most people don't expect, like title fees and TIPS to the companies involved... Make your home purchase a pleasant experience and research all the possibilites. A mortgage is something that you will deal with for a quarter of a century. Get the right mortage at the right rate. Doing all the research before hand can save you tons of money in the long run. With this site, you only have to go to one place. Use their mortgage calcualtors, their quotes and all their other resources to make the right decisions. Now go take a look and see what I mean...

A Review of JohnChow.com

Not too long ago, I saw a PPP opp for a blog. This blog had a beautiful blue sports car on the front. I didn't do much blogging last month, it was a hectic month. Dentists', doctors' and school appointments for the kids kept me very busy. (Oh and there was the hoilday season too.) I wish I would have grabbed the opp. Why? Let me tell you. It's not only a funny blog, it's also very informative. Who's blog is it? An A-Lister blogger named John Chow and his blog is appropriately named John Chow Dot Com. What I find amazing is that he is not like the others. You know, the arrogant ones. The ones suffering from severe insecurities. Isn't it obvious. People that feel the need to be critical and judgemental of others. They feel better about themselves by putting others down. Hhhmm, you know who I'm talking about. WEll, none of that here. He's more like Steve Pavlina, Heather Armstrong and Darren Rowse rolled up into one-with just a pinch of Austin Powers.

The reason I like this blog is because he keeps it real. He behaves like many personal finance bloggers that give financial updates of their networh, debt and income. He gives exact figures. It's great because you have something to work with (if your goal is to be a fulltime blogger). He gives tips and even decided to help the "little bloggers" out, by offereing a free link for a review of his blog. He didn't have to do that. Many A-Listers couldn't be bothered with the masses. Funny, if it wasn't for the masses, who would read the blog? The blogs that advertisers funnel money into to help them earn the millions??? Ok, enough of the rant.

Here's what I like about John Chow Dot Com.
1. He's been attending the International Consumer Electronics Show (CES) trade and he videotaped the MGM SkyLoft's bathroom . I do most of my blog reading before the kids get home. You know, the first thing I told them about was that video. Hint: we love to watch MTV cribs. What about it? See it for yourself. Thanks for sharing!
2. Some of the posts are hilarious! As most of you know, The Princess (8 years old) loves animals and insects. (Hence my house is the zoo. I have to learn to say no to her/them). He had this video about the effects of drugs and alcohol on a spider. I call them over to watch it and ...What a surprise! You have to WATCH IT. The kids are planning to post it on their myspace.
3. He gives excellent advice for bloggers that wish to become fulltimers in the blogoshpere. Since I take advice from people like John Chow seriousy, I have purchased my own domain names. I'm afraid to go about with the domain redirect because I'm terrified of losing my posts. (No one will have to change their links, it will redirect to the new domain name.) I just hope it will go smoothly.
4. His blog is personal too! With the exception of Darren and Heather, many of the A-listers keep people at a distance. Their personal lives are not shared in their blogs. John Chow has a beautiful picture of his daughter(Sally) that was born in September. Want to know more? Follow the link!
5. Unlike most A-listers, he has used services like PPP and ReviewMe. Haha! He proved SOMEONE WRONG! My fellow posties know who I am talking about. Hey! There's no harm in writing a review. Movie reviewers make a living out of it! It's no secret that I do it. I regularly share all the income opps I find. Gotta make that paper! The dwarves deplete every resource at an alaring rate!
6. I spent a lot of time reading through his blog. It has great content that will definitely improve my blogging.

What more can I say? I have put a link to his blog on my blogroll. Take a look at his blog and see what I mean. Make sure you set time aside because you're going to need it. I intended to glance over the content and I read several pages of posts, which led me to other content and more pages of posts! Ohh, did I tell you he has lots of pictures that he takes with the camera that I want...

Visit his blog. You won't regret it.

I'll be back later. I have to run to WalMart........again!

I'm Proud to Say...

I can't remember the last time I used my credit cards. It may have been in June or something. That is a great achievement! When it comes to addictions, counselors say that you are never cured. You will always be a recovering _____ . In my case, I was addicted to plastic. I think the bill collectors stalking me and the awful feeling I got in my stomach everytime the phone rang helped. The fact that the ex wasn't paying child support played a big part too. You know you always have to pay ...eventually. That brings on a whole other part of my life I haven't even touched upon. I don't have the time right now to go there.

Suffice it to say that I am just really happy about not even knowing where my cards are.

I'll be back to post two more entries. I have to write about two...no more like three important events I want to share.

Right now at 8:14pm EST, I just realized the 7 dwarves drank the 4 gallons of milk I bought two days ago. They also ate all the baby's snacks and the two youngest drank all the juice boxes they use for their school snack. Translation: I have to take a 30 minute drive into town to go to Walmart! RRRRGHHHHHhhhhhhhh. I hope I don't hit another deer. I still haven't even repaired the damage the other deer encounter caused. Ya think 4 gallons of milk and 5 gallons of juice would have made it two days???? That's what you get when you think you're Snow White...

I'll be back later.

Ciao!

Performancing.com and PPP

As many of you imagined, I was part of performacing.com. I came across their site last year when I started reading problogger.net. When they created performacing metrics, I was ecstatic. I enjoyed their stats. They were user friendly and conveniently located the most pertinent information on one page for easy access. Data that included the number of google adsense clicks received, inbound and outbound linking and more were all found on one site. I loved it!

Performcing also had a great blog that used to comment on. It was pretty funny. For some strange reason, i was one of the few women that commented there. As a matter of fact, one of the owners made a comment about being shocked about the amount of children that I ahve. (Everyone is always shocked. How many "normal" people have 7 kids!

When I went to the PPP site and saw that they had been acquired by PPP, I was pretty happy. Performancing is a great place for bloggers. They even had a job board for bloggers. Many corporations (seeking bloggers bloggers to post on their corporate blogs) and new blog empire start ups (like Weblogs, Inc.) posted their job openings on their job board. There were always lots of fresh opportunities. I never applied to any of them because I enjoy the flexibility that I get from posting for PPP. Leading such a full and hectic life, it is hard for me to assign specific hours to blog. I never know when I'll get a phone call from one of the schools. School functions, appointments for dentists, pediatricians, orthodontists, opthalmologists and many more keep my calendar full.

The marriage of PPP and Performancing.com will be a great one. I'm looking forward to all the new possibilites that will soon spring up!

LoudLaunch Has Officially Launched!

Finally!

Many bloggers have been waiting and waiting for LoudLaunch to start paying bloggers for reviews. For those of you that aren't aware, LoudLaunch is a site that pays bloggers to review products and services. They strongly enocurage their bloggers to disclose paid opportunties, so that the blog's readers will be informed. They ask bloggers to be as honest as possible, meaning they don't require the tone of the review to be positive. The website has a press release that highlights the advertiser's strong points. LoudLaunch requires that you blog about this release in your content.

They start their advertising packages as low as $50.00. Of course, that only allows for few bloggers to participate. An advertising budget with larger funds allows for more bloggers to participate. This in turn creates more links to an advertiser's site, which may translate into more traffic which creates more revenue. It's a win-win situation.

How much do the bloggers get paid?
LoudLaunch's compensation ranges from $5 to over $200 for top ranked blogs.

What do you need to do?
Visit the LoudLaunch site and register. Submit your blog and wait for approval. Once you are approved, you may write an entry for any offer available.

Visit ASAP. I registered with the site months ago. I submitted three of my 15 blogs for approval on 12/19/06 and only one has been approved so far. The other two are still pending....

Is this a paid opportunity? Yes, it is. How much? I'm not sure yet? The offer doesn't list a price. I believe that the compensation amount will appear, once I add the direct link to this post.

I'll keep you posted as to the payment and any other details I can find!
