Reverse Links: Get Paid for Text Links!

This is another great way to earn income from home to pay off your debt. This site is really easy to use. You are not required to blog about the website or product! You get paid to put a link they provide on your home page. In return, you get paid monthly by paypal.

What do you do?
1. You register on Reverse Links.
2. You add your blogs and the site verifies if they are indexed by Google.
3. Once they are approved, the site will give you a list of the text links you qualify for and the amount they will pay.

This site is different because all blogs are not the same. If your blog has a high page rank, then you earn more money. Blogs or sites that have a page rank of 7 or more can earn $50.00 a month for a simple text link! Motivates you to increase your page rank, huh?

As always, have fun earning money!

An Online University

Not too long ago, I wrote an entry about how GETTING A DEGREE MAY BECOME EASIER. It covered new legislation that may be passed that will allow people to apply financial aid to online universities. The convenience of earning your bachelor degree online while also saving time and money on cummuting is awesome.

There is an online university called Capella University. It was founded in 1993. They offer graduate degree programs in business, information technology, education, human services, and psychology. Their bachelor's degree programs are in business and information technology fields. They serve students in 63 countries as well as all 50 states. They are accredited by The Higher Learning Commission. For more information, visit www.capella.edu or call 1-888-CAPELLA (227-3552).

Never A Dull Moment

I'm pretty frantic right now. Last night, I was in an accident with the kids. We were fine, but the deer and the car weren't as lucky. The car is not safe to drive. The wheel alignment is off and the brakes are not working correctly. The insurance company told me I would get a call in the morning. I explained that it wasn't safe for me to drive the car with my children inside. I don't have another functional vehicle and can't afford a car rental. Unfortunately, altough I had asked for car rental insurance to be added to my policy...it wasn't. I didn't ask why. I was just so upset.

Since I never got a phone call from the car insurance, I drove it down the road to my local gargage. The estimate was $2500.00, just for the damage to the body (excluding car rental fees). That doesn't include the brakes and the wheel alignment. BTW, the brakes were just replaced earlier this year at a cost of $900.00. A car in the rural community I live in is a necessity, not a luxury. I live about 20-25 minutes away from town. (That's where the supermarket is.) I'm really screwed. The money I have been earning was going to pay for eye glasses for three of my kids. I'm backed up on the bills already, my ex-husband isn't up to date with the child support. I'm in a bad spot again. Funny, people wonder why I'm financially strapped.

The most enraging aspect is that a guy that pulled over to tag the deer (because he was going to take it), admitted to have been hunting the deer. He startled it and caused it to run out...into the road in front of me. I feel like he is responsible for this. Idiot. He got free meat and I got car repairs I can't afford.

So, I'm really screwed. I am open to suggestions. I'm trying to use all the blogging sites possible to come up with the money, but most of them pay after thrity days. I don't have any resources and I can't use my credit card to rent the car. Any suggestions? (And no, my ex couldn't possibly care less even though I raise his children).

What have I learned?
1. Read your policy. Make sure your policy has car rental insurance. Mine has a small discount for the insurance, but it's not much.
2. Emergency funds are a necessity. Unfortunately, I can't even cover my expenses yet. It seems like the more money I earn with online opportunities, the more things that go wrong.
3. Always keep a credit card for emergencies, especially if you don't have an emergency fund. I haven't finished paying my card. I don't have enough available to help me out anyway. The last time I used it, it was an emergency-no gas in the car and no money! You see, this is why I always say that when it comes to my life:
THERE IS NEVER A DULL MOMENT.

InBlogAds: Another Way to Reduce Your Debt!

As you know, I'm always looking for ways to earn money online. InblogAds is the latest company to join the new blog advertising revolution. It's simple to use and they offer two advertising opportunities for bloggers.

The first opportunity is their content link program. You get paid to link to a site from your content. You write the post so that it is relevant to the topic of your blog. The second opportunity they offer is by providing text links in your sidebar. You have the choice of either approving your ads manually or having InBlogAds approve them for you. The site states that the links will not interfere with Google Adsense, Yahoo! Publisher Network or any other contextually served ad. Once an advertiser purchases the link, you receive 60% of the sale price for each link ad sold from your blog. You have the choice of accepting or rejecting the offer. With either opportunity, you have total control of the links you will display.

What Do You Need to Do
1. Visit InBlogAds and submit your blog(s) for review.
2. When you are given an offer, you write the content, post the link and submit it.
3. The links must stay up for a month.
4. Once you reach the $10.00 threshhold, you will receive your payment by paypal.
5. If you are applying for the text link ads on your sidebar, you must paste the code into your blog's template. The advertisers pay for the ads. The payments will be made after 30 days, to your paypal (once you meet the $10.00 threshhold).

Have fun earning money! Don't forget, the holidays are approaching fast. Any money you earn this week, will be in your paypal account before BLACK FRIDAY!!!!!!! This means you can do your Chrsitmas Shopping without using your credit cards!

The Irony of Being a Personal Finance Blogger

This week's Carnival of Personal Finance was hosted at the home of the Carnival. My favorite entry was by The Mighty Bargain Hunter. The post was titled: Are money-saving tips unhelpful to people who really need them? The reason I enjoyed this post is because it rings true for me. I am living at the most frugal level possible. I'm not kidding.

For me, writing a personal finance blog is quite humorous and ironic in many ways. I have come across trolls in the blogoshpere that have said some nasty things. I find it quite funny that I have been criticized for posts that I have been praised for by single moms that are desperately trying to make ends meet. See, it's kind of funny to read a post about personal finance, where the tip is saving a few thousand dollars by firing the help. (You know who you are and I don't mean to offend you.) Unfortunately, that's not where I am. I'm struggling to meet the needs of my family mainly: food, shelter, clothing. My expenses are down to the basics. They include transportation, food and clothing when I can spare the money. Right now, two of my kids need braces, two need galsses and three nedd coats. The credit card bills are something that I try to keep up with. I have a few cards that I couldn't keep up with. That'a a whole other mess I will have to deal with, eventually. Basically, I blog about where I am at today. What are those things?

Online Income
When I started this blog, I made it clear that I was going to find every way that one can make money online. I sign up for the sites, test them out and have even posted evidence of the payments received. Many people have tried them and had great results.

Home Based Businesses
I have two home based businesses and one online business. I have mentioned two before. It is an alternate means to earn money to reduce my debt and meet our needs.

Afiliate Marketing
I have mentioned one in particular several times. It is great when making purchases at a certain store.

Frugality, Coupons and Freebies
Another way to reach debt reduction.

Basically, I can only write about where I am or where I have been. I've been in real economic crisis in the past. Last year, I couldn't even buy gifts for the kids. I simply didn't have the money. Gratefully, I have been blessed with a great family. I can tell you that the email that was sent by this man to MSN money rings true for many. Although today I don't have the money to invest, I read the posts anyway. There will be someday soon, where it will be a possibility. When it is, I want to be as informed as possible.

How To Maximize Every Action to Earn or Save Money!

People ask me how I can live on such a small amount of money with so many kids. For me, it's simple. I think creatively. Every dollar I spend, earn or save is maximized. Some of these may be new to you and others may be old news. I hope you find a new useful way of maximizing your dollars.

Shopping for Groceries, Online Purchases and More:
1. Upromise is a great way to earn money from your everyday grocery purchases. You simply register your grocery store cards, credit/debit cards or shop through their site. Retailers add money to your upromise account for your everyday purchases. I registered a few grocery cards in 2003. I just checked my account and I've earned $20.00.
2. If you are making an online purchase and you are a member of sites like FusionCash, InstantProfitz, or ebates, you can earn a percentage of your purchases.
3. By joining a DVD, Book Club or CD club through a site like Useleads, you earn money to buy the things you want. Buy the latest books, CD's and DVD's for FREE or almost FREE. How? You receive a certain amount of products for one low price and they pay you to try the service. It's a win-win situation!
4. If you have a credit card with a rewards program and are disciplined about paying it off every month, you can realy profit! You can earn rewards from your credit card and money from upromise. That's doubling the value of every dollar!
5. If you are a linkshare affiliate, you earn 12% of your online purchases at Walmart. (See right side bar)
6. If you are an ebay shopper, you can try a new phone alert service through one of the sites listed above (#2) and receive up to $20.00. If you aren't an ebay user, you can receive up to $8.00 to open a new account and place a bid.
7. You can sign up for an offer at one of the coffee sites (see #2 above) and receive a free gift plus several bags of coffee for a small fee.

Internet, Phone, Cable and Other Bills
1. If you are a Cognigen agent (see right side bar), you earn a commission of every bill you pay every month that you use through them. They have all the big providers including Sunrocket, TMobile, Sprint and more. It's like paying yourself.

Dining Out
1. You can earn rewards with a rewards credit card. If you have your credit/debit card registered at Upromise (and it is a restaurant that is affiliated with them), you will earn a percentage of your bill.

Auction Sites
1. If you are a member of one of the sites listed above, you can sign up for a membership to a book club, DVD club or CD club, earn money and then sell the brand new products on auction sites for even more money. This way, you earn money for trying the service and then sell the product for even more revenue. Sites like half.com, amazon.com or ebay may be used.

Saving and Investing
1. You can earn money for opening online accounts at banks like HSBC, ING, Emigrant and even Bank of America. Look for deals and coupon codes that reward you with up to $50.00 (50 days after) for new accounts. (Read the fine print, some institutions require a direct deposit).
2. Open an account with Sharebuilder (using special coupon codes) and recieve an extra $50.00 after 60 days. (Be sure to read the fine print. They may require you to make a trade, thus reducing your intial investment).

Save Time and Money Using Your Computer
1. Online bill pay save you time and money. It may even save you from late fees. Check your bank and credit card statements for more information as to the ways you can utilize this service.
2. By using a site like WiseOrb, you can earn money for every search anyone makes from your computer. A simple action you take every time you sit at your computer!

These are just a few ways that I maximize every action and every dollar. At this moment, I have to step away. I'll make sure to return to add more to this entry.

Five Simple Ways of Creating Passive Income

In my attempt to get out of debt, I am trying to create passive income. Blogging is one way to achieve that, but there are others that I am experimenting with. Besides affiliate marketing and Google adsense, there are several sites that contribute to my passive income.

Here are a few sites and a summary of how they work. For a more thorough explanation, visit the links on the sidebar.
1. Helium Knowledge is a site where people ask questions and write answers. It is similar to the Yahoo Answers, except here everyone that participates earns money. The system is set up so that everytime you answer a question, you have to read and rate all the other answers. Each time this occurs, the author of the answer earns money. Once you reach the $25.00 threshhold, you get paid by paypal. You answer the questions once and will earn money everytime they are read by others! The more high paying answers you question, the more money they earn for you in the future.
2. MyLot is similar to the site above. The difference is you can earn money three different ways. At this site, you get paid to start discussions. You ask questions and you earn money everytime someone answers it. You can also earn by answering others questions. The third way of earning passive income is by referring others. MyLot makes payments by paypal after you reach the $10.00 threshhold.
3. FusionCash is a site that pays you to sign up for services and products. You can also earn money by referring others.
4. Hits4pay is a site that pays you to read ads on categories that you choose. You earn money for the email you read, as well as those read by your referrals.
5. WiseOrb pays you for your daily searches. Just put the URL they provide as your homepage and earn everytime you do a search. Earn residual income by submitting content and by referring others.

Here is why and how this post came about. My sons have their own bank accounts. Every month they are thrilled to see how much money they have earned in interest. Since they only have a few hundred dollars, they don't earn much. I check the amount of money I make at these sites daily. They realized that I earn more passive income at these sites, than the interest the bank pays. They asked me if I had shared this at this blog. I replied I thought it was pretty basic knowledge. They asked me to share it anyway. So, this is a post brought to you by the request of The Entrepreneur and The Comedian. I hope it is helpful, useful and beneficial for you.

Have a Daughter? Here's How You Can Save 40% off at Fashion Bug!

Not too long ago, I visited Fashion Bug with The Diva. Now, Fashion Bug is not one of the stores we shop at. It just happened to be close by and we needed a pair of leggings for her ASAP. She's more the Limited Too type. This was our first trip, of what will turn into many. While we were there, the manager of the store approached us. She asked if The Diva was one of the models for the fashion show. Hello!?!? No, but she could be. The manager explained that at the beginning of every season they have a fashion show. The models are given a 40% discount on the clothing they will be wearing at the show. The fashion show is held in the store. All I heard was 40% off!

Unfortunately, the day of the show happened to be the day of the Jonas Brothers concert she was attending. Obviously, she wasn't in the fashion show. We went this past week, they were having a storewide sale-buy one item and get another item of equal or lesser price for a $1.00! We were approached again about the modeling. She will be attending the next one. You can be sure of that. I don't plan to miss 40% off the new clothing line for the season. She is constantly outgrowing her clothing. She is now 5'6. I made sure to ask one more question, I was thinking of all of you...I asked the manager if they also used junior plus size models. The answer was ..YES! So, no matter what size your daughter wears, if she likes the clothing at Fashion Bug, schedule a little trip. Ask the manager about their Fashion Shows and make sure you give them your contact information! Remember, you save 40% off the new clothing line. It's better than an employee discount!

For those of you that are wondering, the picture above is of The Diva with Nick Jonas-from The Jonas Brothers.
