PayPal: What is it and how do I sign up?

There is an important tool that will help you when you are doing surveys at different sites. It also accelerates the time in which you will receive your payment.
If you haven't signed up for paypal, here is the opportunity:
Sign up for PayPal and start accepting credit card payments instantly.
This will also come in handy with ebay and other sites of interest we will be covering...

Free List Of Survey Sites That Pay

Surfing on the net, I became curious about those survey sites that claim to pay you for your opinion. Not having much time, resources and extra money for day care (to get an part time job on top of my full time employment) I decided to sign up and experiment. I'm here to tell you that there are reputable survey sites that pay YOU. They don't pay you those huge amounts of money that the people selling the survey site lists claim, but every little bit helps. If you are focusing on becoming debt free, the money that you make can be applied to debt elimination. I have joined many survey sites and have received payment or prizes from many. The most lucrative has been gozing. I have received several payments from gozing to particpate in surveys. The most I have received from gozing was $20.00 for one survey. (Not bad huh?) They use by paypal.

To maximize your profits from these surveys, you should do the following:
1. Open an email account that you will use just for your survey sites. Make sure you add their address to your email address book. In this way, they will not end up in your bulk folder.
2. Answer all the profiles and surveys they have. This will give them a broader picture of what surveys you will be eligible for.
3. Open a paypal account. It makes it much easier to receive payment.
4. Check your email account frequently. The surveys are closed quickly. If you only check your emails once a week, this may not be for you.

Good luck and have fun!

The first one listed is the site formerly known as Gozing now known as
Greenfield.

Getting Out Of Debt (A Budget)

So, you're in debt. What is the first thing you should do? You are in a hole that is continuously getting deeper and deeper. The bill collectors are calling and the unpaid bills are stacking up. You need to sit down, take a deep breath and regain control. If you don't know exactly where your money goes every month, then find out. Make a commitment to keep track of your funds. In a memo pad, keep accurate account of every dollar you spend for a month. Make sure you write down every price of every item you purchase. Record every newspaper, magazine and cup of coffee you indulge in. At the end of the month, sit down and sort all of your expenses into specific categories. When you finish, add up all your columns and you will be able to see exactly where the majority of your money ends up.

Now that you know how your money is spent every month, you can start by organizing your expenses and getting creative with ways to reduce your spending. Look at every step individually and be accurate, so that you get a very clear picture of your situation. In this manner, you can create a solution to your problem.

Step One: Your Income
The first thing you need to do is look at your monthly income. How much do you bring home after taxes? From that you must subtract all the NECESSARY expenses. This includes the expenses for your transportation to and from work. If you have child care expenses, they should be included as well. All the expenses that you must pay to be able to work should be factored in here.

Step Two: Your Household Monthly Expenses
In this category one should include all the expenses that are necessary to run your household. These expenses include the rent or mortgage, the electric bill, the phone bill, the internet bill, the cable bill, the car payment, the car insurance and the grocery bill (include pet foods and toiletries). Those of you that pay child support, support your elderly parents, and/or tithe should include those payments here. Here's a little help for the grocery bill. This site provides coupons for many different products including pet foods.

Step Three: Your Leisurely Activites
This is where you list memberships to your gym, movie rentals, visits to the movies, book purchases, comic books, pedicures, manicures and hairstylist/barber shop visits. Anything that you do or buy that falls under entertainment goes here. That includes the Friday night bar tab, the admission to a night club or the baseball tickets. EVERYTHING that is a form of entertainment.

Now that you have a clear picture of the monthly damage, you can start thinking of ways to cut expenses. Can't think of any? Don't worry, I'm here to help.

Your Income
You know how much you make now. Can you increase your income? In most cases, the answer is yes. Can you ask your boss for overtime? Can you work a second job? Can you ask for a raise? Can you look for another job with higher salary? There are other opportunities like home based businesses, online income opportunities and eBay. Look at all these possibilities and see if there is something you can do to create more income.

Now that you know exactly what your income is and have subtracted all the necessary expenses, you know what it will take to get out of the hole. If you pay child care, you may want to look into a less expensive alternative. Make sure you feel good about the day care provider. Do not trade safety and/or security to save some money. Just check out the alternatives to see if you have made the best choice. In the area of transportation, look at other options. Can you carpal? Can you find a less expensive choice? For example, can you take the train to work instead of driving in or vice versa? Can you walk, take public transportation or maybe even move closer to your job? Look at ALL the alternatives. Think outside the box.

Your Household Monthly Expenses
Your monthly expenses are next. If you rent and you don't have transitional issues, you may want to look for more affordable housing closer to your jobs (always check out the school district if you have children). If you own your home, you can always look into refinancing. Refinancing may be a great idea because you can use the equity on your home to pay off your debt and you now have a tax write off. Interest rates are low now. If this is an option, start researching a company right away. You may be able to get rid of your debt, get a lower interest rate on your mortgage, get a tax write off and start a nest egg. All this just by refinancing. I have already discussed the grocery bill, phone, cable and internet providers on a previous post. Finding a less expensive car insurance premium is now easier than ever. Take a defensive driving course to decrease your insurance payments. Make sure you discuss all the different ways you can reduce your car insurance payment. Your broker should be able to answer your questions.

Your Leisurely Activities
You can cut back on some of these until you pay off your debt. Do not stop all your entertainment, unless you can honestly deal with it. You may be so miserable that you'll sink back to your old ways. Be creative with ways to cut the spending. For example, if you like to rent movies then look into Netflix or Blockbuster programs that deliver your movies to your mailbox. They eliminate exorbitant late charge fees and gas consumption to and from the rental store. If you like to go to the movies, then go to the matinee. It is always cheaper. You can buy books for half the cost on sites like www.half.com and

See, there are many ways that you can cut your costs. Try some of these suggestions and see how it works. You'll be surprised at the money you'll save and how quickly you'll climb out of that HOLE!

Getting Out of Debt Strategies

There are strategies that I implemented to get out of debt several years ago. They worked and it may work for you (if you don't have as many obstacles as I do). Let's get started by recapping the lessons I learned.

Reduce your Daily Expenses
This is a no brainer. You need to step back and look at what you spend your money on. Do you indulge in buying coffee every morning? Starbucks, Dunkin' Donuts and Krispy Kreme may be making a small fortune from you. Those two dollars you drink away every morning adds up. Do you smoke? That is an expense that you can do without. You will be healthier too! Do you buy the paper every morning? Another expense you can do without, at least until you pay off those bills. Instead of buying the paper, catch up on the news through the internet or the TV. You're already paying for those luxuries. Little expenses here and there add up to a chunk of change. If you put all the money you save in a jar, you'll be pleasantly surprised at the amount of money you will have at the end of the month. You'll save this money by just cutting back on the little expenses that seem so trivial.

Reducing your Monthly Expenses
With all the competition for your business, phone companies are now teaming up with internet companies and cable service providers to give you big savings incentives. IO has a very attractive promotion where you get broadband internet service, phone service including unlimited long distance to the US, Canada and PR, and cable service for one low price of $99.00 (excluding tax). That averages out to $33.00 a month for each service. It helps cut back on the amount of time to pay the bills (online) or the postage for three different bills, not to mention the two extra checks you'll NOT be writing. It is an attractive deal and something to look into.

Reducing your Utilities
There are now programs where you can switch your energy supplier. Look closely at your bills. Programs like Power Switch can help you save some money on your heating bills. Insulating your windows, doors and roof (for homeowners) also helps. Turning the heat and/or AC down when you are away can help your savings. Buy a thermostat with a timer, so that you can have your home at your comfortable level when you arrive.

Reducing your Gas Consumption
Go out only when you need to. Take less trips and don't make any unnecessary trips to the store. Try to schedule your errands at the same time, so that you make the most of your time and money. Take your car to be serviced regularly. When your car is properly taken care of it runs more efficiently.

Reducing your Grocery Bill
Clip coupons. There are supermarkets that triple the amount of your coupon. That means that .75 off the cereal really takes off $2.25. Not bad huh? Buy no frills when you can. For example, buy the store brand lettuce as opposed to the Dole. I know that not all no frills can cut it. I NEVER buy no frills Oreos or Chips Ahoy. I only buy them when they are on sale at the lowest possible price. This has to be covered in a post by itself, I can tell you stories. You can visit the site found on the right sidebar and print coupons for your next trip!

Reducing Credit Card Debt
Most companies don't want to lose you as a customer. So, you can convince them to lower your interest rate by making a simple phone call. You simply tell them that you received an offer from a competing credit card offering you a tempting interest rate. Then you ask them if they can match it. What's the worst that they can say? No? Try it. I convinced my father to do it and guess what? They gave him a lower rate!

These are just a few of the lessons I have learned. I will elaborate on each of these and more in the future. For now, try some of these and let me know how it went.

Getting Out of Debt

The object of this blog is to share the information that I have amassed concerning getting out of debt. It is a test to see if an average person in America can actually succeed in getting out of debt by making money online. By using my life, I am using the worst case scenario.

Why you ask?
1. I have many children and that increases the chances of using up any resources very quickly and creating even more debt.
2. I have a disabled child and it is difficult to find appropriate day care therefore making it difficult to find full time employment.
3. I live about 25 minutes from the nearest town so it increases the time of the daily commute to anywhere. Creating the need for longer day care costing more money and leaving less money to apy the debt.
4. I have to split the kids up at different child care providers, which increases the gas consumption of travel which again leaves less money to pay the debt.
5. When the children get sick and they pass it on to one another it increases my chances of losing my employment (which has occurred). This increased the debt some nore!
6. I don't have any friends and family here or any support system. There is just me and that means I can never get SICK. I have to pay for ALL the day care I need all the time!

So, if I succeed anyone can. Right? There are many other issues here, but why go there? I have succeeded in getting out of debt before, but it entailed working overtime and being very frugal. It can be done. Why am I in debt again, you ask? Well, that's what divorce creates. It sometimes creates a household living way below the poverty level. You then add: loss of employment, missed child support payments and many, many unforeseen mishaps such as car trouble and it is a deadly mix. So, now I have to find ways of paying the basics: such as food, clothing, and shelter and pay off the creditors like the car payment, car insurance and credit cards (which provide the clothing).

Doing lots of research on the internet, I came across blogs. I started blogging as a creative outlet. I also wanted to help others dealing with raising a child with autism. That is when I was introduced to google adsense. I put them up on my blog and didn't really get much revenue. I was also looking at different sites and income opportunities. Some of these included surveys, affiliate programs and article submissions. So far, the surveys have brought me some money. If anyone is interested, I can post the exact locations of the legitimate websites. (I'll post about that later). Haven't had much luck with the affiliate programs (with the exception of the free greeting cards on the right) or the article submissions.

While I continued to research the google adsense program, I learned a lot. The information that I found is key to this little venture. I will start implementing it immediately and will share the progress with you. I am going to succeed and hopefully you will follow my lead and be victorious as well.
